This was a gift and the recipient loves it! It slices well, the crank is smooth and appears well made. The suction could be better—it doesn’t stick to the counter at all, which is not a problem for softer loaves but it can move around a bit with a denser loaf.

Fast delivery and the best bread slicer

I needed a bread slicer for both my sourdough boules and sandwich loaves. This is perfect for both. The box arrived quickly and the slicer was in perfect condition. It cuts even, effortless slices of any thickness, cutting through the bottom crust of my sourdough boule with ease. So much better than struggling to get through it with a bread knife. We use it weekly for the best paninis and sourdough French toast.

Specific Christmas Request

My daughter requested this Schnitzel Mouli for Christmas. She had seen one at a friend’s house and liked the way it grated the food. She used it to grate cheese for omelets. It worked perfectly, and I can recommend it with only two reservations.

First, it took almost a month for the item to arrive so be sure you order it long before you need it. Secondly, it is difficult to clean due to all the depressions and gaps in the handle. Perhaps a solid handle would alleviate those problems.

Regardless of my reservations, my daughter was ecstatic to have receive her request, and that is what really matters.

Your order was placed on November 30 and delivered on December 20 via FedEx, which is indeed longer than usual. Under normal circumstances, delivery typically takes no more than two weeks. Unfortunately, during the pre-Christmas period, logistics providers are often heavily overloaded, which can occasionally result in extended transit times.

We are, however, very pleased that the item still arrived in time to be given as a gift and that your daughter was happy with it.
