Regarding your note about longer handles: For the Comandante we offer two options – the XL Black Crank with a length of 18 cm (7.08 inches) and the XXL Crank with a length of 20 cm (7.87 inches) for even more leverage. Both are excellent upgrades to make grinding with a manual coffee grinder even more comfortable – especially for harder, lighter-roasted beans.

You reached out to us with a photo of your Comandante C40 “Liquid Amber”, as the wood grain differed from what you had expected – especially compared to a YouTube video that inspired your purchase.

We forwarded the image to Comandante, and the manufacturer confirmed that the dark line you saw is not a defect, but a natural characteristic of the real wood veneer used in this model. Each unit is made with oiled, untreated wood, and as a result, every grinder is one of a kind – some with subtle, others with bold or straight grain lines. That uniqueness is part of the appeal of the Liquid Amber finish.

Thank you for your feedback and your positive comments about the grinder! We sincerely apologize for the shipping issues. UPS is usually very reliable, but it seems there was a problem in this case. If the item is damaged, we will of course replace it immediately.

Due to recent problems, we have switched to DHL Express for shipping, as they have proven to be even more reliable at the moment.
