Westmark Rotary Grater "Schnitzel Mouli" - #1171

These are the best! I have had three in my lifetime, only replacing them when lost or lent to somebody who did not return!. They are strong and convenient, grating hard cheese like Parmesan easily, and quickly cutting cucumber, squash or other veggies. Wonderful too, way better than a box grater and not as bulky or heavy as a blender

After using it for a couple of months, it basically performs well grating cheese quickly. There are two downsides. First, the largest grater holes are smaller than a standard large-hole grater. Second, when the cheese block being grated gets down to a small "slice," it has a tendency to slip onto the grater blades and cannot be grated any longer. Not a perfect grater, but still pretty good.

So far, I like it. Just hope the discs will not rust.

My daughter requested this Schnitzel Mouli for Christmas. She had seen one at a friend’s house and liked the way it grated the food. She used it to grate cheese for omelets. It worked perfectly, and I can recommend it with only two reservations.

First, it took almost a month for the item to arrive so be sure you order it long before you need it. Secondly, it is difficult to clean due to all the depressions and gaps in the handle. Perhaps a solid handle would alleviate those problems.

Regardless of my reservations, my daughter was ecstatic to have receive her request, and that is what really matters.

My French fianceé has been frustrated for years because she could never find a grater in the US that makes carotte rapeés (shredded carrots) properly. Anything we tried was either too fine or not fine enough to make carrot salad like we get when visiting France. I ultimately posed the question to ChatGPT, and it suggested the Westmark. Problem solved! It makes the perfect size shred, and now my girlfriend is very happy. Shipping was fast, and the price was well worth it. Thank you for making me look good!

Say goodbye to standing cheese graters or hand-held crank graters. This mouli is the best! My mother-in-law had an antique one and I have been looking for something similar. This one, while not fully metal, still works perfectly. I highly recommend this product!

I'd been looking for this type of grater ever since a friend had an antique version from her grandmother. It works quickly to grate a large amount of cheese (harder cheeses work best) as well as frozen butter when I make pie crust. The suction cups on the feet really help keep it place. Best of all, I don't risk grating my fingers!!!

I grew up with an older (1950) non stainless steel Mouli version of this grater and really like the easy action. Especially that one can't grate one's fingers, and the grated product falls into a shallow bowl very easily.

I miss the wider range of grating blades (at least 5 diff grater sizes) available with the older French made Mouli Julienne.U.S. Pat. 2528381, Canadian Pat. 485685.
What's more the blades fit in either machine and operate with the correct hanle.
So glad I found this grater on line.

My neighbor had one…from her grandmother. Love mine. It does a great( no pun ) job on carrots for a salad. Love mine.

I love the grater! Does such a good job, so quickly and easy to clean. I'm so happy that I could order one. It's stable too, doesn't move around on the countertop when I'm using it. Just wish I would have ordered it a long time ago!

I love this grater and have used these for years. I wish there were extra rubber parts for the feet as these tend to need to be replaced often.

Many years ago, my brother gifted me a product much like the Westmark Rotary Grater "Schnitzel Mouli. Sadly, it was not of the same quality and eventually self destructed. When I found this product, I jumped for JOY! So far, it has performed perfectly and is so easy to clean and store. Love this cheese grater! Big enough to grate big jobs (pimento cheese, cheese straws, sausage balls, etc.) in much less time than my old hand grater and is very stable.

This is really a wonderful gadget (and I’ve tried several other graters). This one has true suction power and stability. It is very easy to take apart and clean, as well as put away on the shelf. It is the only grater that lets me make « carottes râpées » (grated carrots). The store-bought sliced carrots are always too thick. This works so well that I’m buying another one for my mother!

My aunt had a mouli rotary grater like this back in the 60's. I loved it and am so happy that I found this one. It works very well! Easy to clean.
