Barometer & Hygrometer

The need to tap the glass of the Barometer before each reading is annoying, as well as speaks of poor quality. Concerning the Hygrometer, it is hard to understand/accept how the ā€œinformation on air humidity refer to the OUTDOOR area (not the value in [my] house),ā€ as described in the included instructions.

Unlike digital devices, there are no sensors that can be installed outdoorsā€”this device is specifically designed for indoor use, such as in your living room.

The hygrometer clearly displays the humidity at the location where the device is situated. It measures only the conditions in its immediate surroundings and is designed to provide reliable readings for indoor environments.

For the barometer, it is technically normal for the needle to lightly touch (or 'drag') against the scale instead of being completely loose. This ensures precise measurements. Beautiful Weather Station

This is one beautiful weather station, the instruments are so clear and the glass is smooth and sleek. The wood is thick and finished nicely. It would be a conversation piece wherever you hang it.Just one look at it tells you it's quality. It works very well without any kind of adjustments for where I live. It was packed very well for shipping. I'm very happy with it and highly recommend this item. It would make a thoughtful beautiful gift.

...with one caveat: the US-based measurements use smaller fonts than the European. So, for example, centigrade and millibars are on the outer circle, thus having larger fonts than fahrenheit and inches. If it were truly a "US Version" it would not just include fahrenheit and inches, but also make them easily readable. Especially since the older US population that is most likely to be interested in analog instruments, is aging.
We also had some issues with damaged packaging which were resolved to our satisfaction by customer service.

The scoop that changed my life!

I make a cookie recipe that has a lot of butter. The batter is kept in the refrigerator for 2 days before baking. I take it out to bring it to room temperature the night before. Due to the heavy butter volume the dough is very, very soft. Using my traditional scoop results in using my hands to release the dough onto the sheet pan. A very slow and messy process. With this non-stick scoop the dough falls right out! A miracle!
