I have used the slicer several times and overall am very happy with it. The only issue is as commented by numerous other users is the problem with the cut bread slice interfering with the handle of the slicer. There are numerous fixes in the internet that I will use to correct that problem. What confuses me is that Zassenhaus realized this problem and corrected the issue on their vintage slicers but not on the new slicers.
It is sturdy, easy to use, and a great accessory to add to my kitchen for homemade bread. I don’t worry about cutting myself like with an electric slicer but I have the convenience of being able to get whatever uniform thickness of slices I prefer on my breads. It also is pretty to look at.
This is the perfect bread slicer for my little cottage bakery! Very easy to use and clean. Easy to store with the foldable platform. Typical German quality, excellent! I highly recommend.
Does a great job of slicing apples, though make sure you carefully line up the blades with the gaps in the base, as the plastic is hard enough to damage the blades if it comes down on the higher segments instead of in between
Received all items as expected with no issues to report. Quality of the items is very good. I would recommend your kitchen equipment as well as your services to others. Furthermore, I intend to order other items from your company in the near future.
It is wonderful, thanks! I use it to make Spätzle with students in my German classes. I have also gifted it wedding showers. I would suggest that this item be paired with the skimmer on the website. It took me a while to find the skimmer, which is needed to remove the Spätzle noodles from the boiling water. Danke!
I received my order without any issues, the product was packed well, and most importantly, was easy to setup & use, and I was able to pit about 3 quarts in a few minutes. I’m very pleased.
