It is no longer a chore to slice up my sourdough loaves as this slicer does it effortlessly. I like the fact it can fold up for storage and the suction cups really keep it anchored. Being a manual piece of equipment I anticipate it will last a considerably long time but I am reassured that the blade can be replaced should it ever become necessary. My loaves look very professional now and it was definitely worth the investment.

Get the chrome one if it’s in your budget. My only complaint is the suction cups slide around on my countertop. Not a deal breaker. Easy, uniform slicing.

I didn’t know how much I needed this item. I selected this model for the space-saving feature, the platform that folds up at the rear of slicer. I don’t mind that it’s a permanent fixture on the counter, a reminder to keep my starter fed. Slicing a loaf, whether boule or batard has been a game changer. Uniform slices with a range of width options. Delivery was prompt and the company kept me in the loop from the moment I ordered the slicer. Overall, a positive and happy customer experience.

I needed a bread slicer for both my sourdough boules and sandwich loaves. This is perfect for both. The box arrived quickly and the slicer was in perfect condition. It cuts even, effortless slices of any thickness, cutting through the bottom crust of my sourdough boule with ease. So much better than struggling to get through it with a bread knife. We use it weekly for the best paninis and sourdough French toast.

I really thought this would be great, but it didn’t work so well for my homemade white bread. It seems it’s better for harder breads. It became a 2 person job. I had to turn the handle while my husband moved the bread along and used a knife to get the slice pushed through to other side. It would be helpful if there were some kind of lever or something to do that.

This slicer works great. I can have thin bread for sandwiches and thick bread for toast. I’m able to use more of the ends of the loaf. And when gifting loaves people often prefer sliced. It fills up fairly small so it lives on my counter which is a privilege reserved for few devices

Looks amazing. However, unfortunately when we opened the box, the blade was laying away from the unit and the screw and plate that holds it to unit had been sheared. Thus, it must have been dropped from a significant height to shear this bolt. We did take a picture and will need to deal with Amazon who will likely replace the whole unit when all I need is the bolt to attach blade to unit.
Although we obviously have not had a chance to use yet, my wife and I were very impressed with the design and quality of the unit.\\
