気圧計は何を測定しますか？
気圧計は大気圧を測定する装置です。大気圧は、平たく空気の入っていない金属箱の変形によって測定されます。圧力が上がると箱は収縮し、圧力が下がると箱は膨張します。高精度の測定機構がこの動きを針に伝え、目盛上に気圧を表示します。
 
気圧と気候
天候の変化は主に気圧の変化によって決まります。地球は重力によって空気の層（大気）に包まれています。地表に作用する静的な圧力を大気圧と呼びます。気圧がゆっくりと安定して上昇すると、天候が大きく安定して改善する見込みがあります。しかし急激な上昇は、多くの場合その後の急降下を伴い、不安定な天候変化を示します。このような不安定な変化は、しばしば天気の悪化につながります。

Fischer Sheraton Weather Station: to be or not to be

This information on the weather (temp, humidity, and barometer) is in conflict with my other weather smaller less expensive weather station. I am unsure which requires calibration. As such, I do not know which is correct.

Nice looking piece though.
Looks great on my wall!
Soon, I will take the smaller weather station down and place it in another room.

Great piece. My Mum loves it. Beautifully polished and finished. All dials working. Item was shipped to New Zealand. Shippping was slower than expected but i'm not sure this is a Loewen META issue - paid for express shipping of 4 days but the item took close to 2 weeks to arrive

Thank you for your positive review. Please excuse the delay again. If we ship with UPS Saver, it usually takes 2 to 3 days to the USA and Canada. To Australia or New Zealand it may take a day or two longer. Your shipment was probably delayed at customs. But we don't know exactly. I hope that you are still satisfied with the product.

The scoop that changed my life!

I make a cookie recipe that has a lot of butter. The batter is kept in the refrigerator for 2 days before baking. I take it out to bring it to room temperature the night before. Due to the heavy butter volume the dough is very, very soft. Using my traditional scoop results in using my hands to release the dough onto the sheet pan. A very slow and messy process. With this non-stick scoop the dough falls right out! A miracle!

These are the best! I have had three in my lifetime, only replacing them when lost or lent to somebody who did not return!. They are strong and convenient, grating hard cheese like Parmesan easily, and quickly cutting cucumber, squash or other veggies.
