I have used the slicer several times and overall am very happy with it. The only issue is as commented by numerous other users is the problem with the cut bread slice interfering with the handle of the slicer. There are numerous fixes in the internet that I will use to correct that problem. What confuses me is that Zassenhaus realized this problem and corrected the issue on their vintage slicers but not on the new slicers.
It is sturdy, easy to use, and a great accessory to add to my kitchen for homemade bread. I don’t worry about cutting myself like with an electric slicer but I have the convenience of being able to get whatever uniform thickness of slices I prefer on my breads. It also is pretty to look at.
I like this so much and it works well. Excellent packing and perfect condition.
Works perfectly. I can the width of the slice without difficulty and it’s perfect each time. Also very clean up
