I absolutely love my Ritter slicer. It’s made so well. It’s solid, easy to use, and cuts my sourdough bread easily. I like how that when closed that the blade is slightly covered and so no risk of accidentally cutting myself. I use it daily.
German made is the best! Quality flaker produces wonderful oatmeal flakes with great ease. Loewen META provided wonderful customer service accommodating my needs; highly recommend! Will do business again with this company.

The caveat is that one must be very careful
When using it, as I believe if it were dropped
It would crack. If one is careful, it is a wonderful tool however, accidents do happen.
