Fischer Sauna Thermometer, Stainless Steel - DE / Celsius

I have been rolling oats for several years now, and have tried 11 different options for getting the job done over that time period.

The task is more specific than that contemplated by most 'grain flakers', and not worth the thousands of dollars needed for a specific commercial pat roller solution.

I had settled on using 'pasta machines', trying the cheapest $29.99 chinesium version with misaligned rollers, up to the $500+ trendy Italians. They work, but they are a lot of effort, and break at between 3 to 6 months of age. (The roller gap adjustment usually fails first)

Low speed, high torque motors help, but they have not lasted as long as the pasta machines to which I've mated them.

I am 66 years old, and this is only the third review I have ever bothered to write. I am a professor in the computer science department at a major usa university, so 'only 3' is not due to some age-related aversion to technology.

This product rises to the rate level of 'worth it'. My small contribution to humanity - if you are looking to roll oat groats, this Eschenfelder and a bit of moisture control is the answer. Integrated over time, it is cheaper as well, and you can skip the motor.

This is a very well-made, sturdy pitter. It removes pits easily and quickly. Feels like it will last a long time.

The works very well on the two larger size cuts; difficult to push potato thru the julienne size blade.

High quality, accurate, responsive. Much better than the chinese junk that comes with the sauna.

I totally love this bread cutter. My only downside was the suction cups did not hold it tight. My son recommended a "cushioned" double sided clear tape from Amazon that works great. It also leaves no residue when removed.

Question why had I not purchased the bread Ali er any sooner. No more fighting cutting perfect slices.

The bread slicer is quite expensive. But, after using a very, very sharp knife to cut my sourdough bread for almost a year using a caddy to hold the loaf in place that had different slice widths, I felt like it was only a matter of time before I did serious damage to one of my fingers. I play the guitar and figured better to buy this bread slicer than cut my finger to the bone. In short, the slicer works perfectly and my wife is much relieved that I am not using the knife any longer!

I love this bread slicer. It's perfect for a small kitchen like mine and it does an absolutely consistent job slicing bread. It's very easy to use, and I found that I can even slice certain cheeses with it. I don't think it's limited to bread. You can slice cucumbers, zucchini, and just about anything that is firm enough. The suction cups adhere immediately to a surface. I'm thrilled with my purchase.
